Statement of the South Azerbaijan Liberation Party regarding the recent crimes of the Moscow regime against Azerbaijani Turks
In recent days, we have witnessed a dramatic escalation of systematic repression, mass arrests, and torture against our compatriots living in the Russian Federation. The killing of two Azerbaijani Turks in the past 48 hours is no longer just an act of suppression it constitutes ethnic cleansing and a state-led campaign of terror.
We, the Southern Azerbaijan Liberation Party, unequivocally condemn these crimes, which represent a blatant violation of international human rights law, the Geneva Conventions, and the UN Charter.
The Russian state must understand:
• The Azerbaijani Turks have existed in this geography for centuries and will continue to exist.
• A nation’s identity and existence cannot be silenced through violence, fear, or repression.
• We will neither forget nor forgive these crimes and declare that those responsible will be held accountable before history and humanity.
We call upon the leadership of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Organization of Turkic States, and international human rights institutions to react decisively and without delay to this grave situation.
As the Southern Azerbaijan Liberation Party, we will continue our political, diplomatic, and legal struggle to defend the rights of our compatriots whether in Southern Azerbaijan or in the Russian Federation.
It is our national and moral duty to protect our people, to demand justice for the victims, and to mobilize the international community against these crimes.
Long live the unity of the Azerbaijani Turks!
Long live the spirit of resistance in Southern Azerbaijan!
Tyrannical regimes will be thrown into the dustbin of history!
