STATEMENT ON THE U.S., ISRAEL – IRAN WAR
Statement of the South Azerbaijan Liberation Party
To the Great Azerbaijani Turk Nation,
The war conditions that have begun in the region pose serious dangers for the Azerbaijani Turk Nation. As the Azerbaijani National Movement, we declare the following:
South Azerbaijan and the Turk nation living in Iran are not a party to this war. This war has not emerged from the will of our nation, but as a consequence of the policies of the Islamist Fascist clerical regime.
We address the following open call to our people:
• We must not remain indifferent to the movements of Kurdish terror groups that seek to exploit this war in Urmia and our western regions.
• The regime may strike certain residential areas, especially city centers, and claim that they were targeted by the enemy. Gathering in such areas is dangerous.
• Do not participate in street rallies and marches organized by the regime. These measures are not intended to protect the people, but to turn them into targets.
• Do not be carried away by the emotional narratives promoted in regime media.
• Consider protecting your life, your family, and your residential areas as your primary duty.
Appeal to the states of Türkiye and Azerbaijan:
The Turks of South Azerbaijan are not, and will not become, instruments of the regime or of any foreign power. The path of our nation is solely to secure its own future, establish its national state, and preserve its existence. What will emerge at the end of the current war concerns not only South Azerbaijan, but also the states of Azerbaijan and Türkiye. In particular, the PKK and its affiliated Kurdish terror groups may attempt to exploit this turmoil to seize the border areas of Türkiye and Azerbaijan. We call upon our two native and brotherly states to keep these developments under control.
This war will reveal either the strengthening of Turkish power or its weakening. The strategic and geopolitical future of the Republic of Türkiye and the Republic of Azerbaijan is dependent upon the future of South Azerbaijan.
